For Employees

In the event of a facility emergency, inclement weather, natural disaster or hazard:

Generations of Red Bay and Generations of Vernon will keep this site updated with information about any condition that may impact your ability to come to work. We will post the need for you to come to work early, as well as information about the possibility you may be required to stay past your shift to assist in the delivery of care to our residents.

We will do our best to get information to you as soon as we can so that you may make your personal arrangements to come to work. It is very important during any inclement weather or during any potential hazard or emergency that you do your best to communicate with us as well. To facilitate this, please make sure the facility has been advised of any changes in your contact information and a current method of contacting you is on file with us.

For Sponsors & Residents

Our facility has an Emergency Preparedness Plan in place that is reviewed and tested annually. Our plan provides for emergency power, water, and food, and we are prepared to shelter in place during such an event. However, should the facility need to evacuate the facility, we would do so by transferring our residents to other health care facilities capable of providing care to your loved ones.

We will communicate with you during such an event, and we ask that you assist us in making sure you keep us advised of any changes in your contact information, and a current method of contacting you is on file with our facility.
Should you have any questions about our Emergency Preparedness Plan, feel free to speak with our facility administrator, who will review our plan with you.
