Questions, Concerns, Comments & Compliments

From time to time, you may have questions or concerns and we want to help you find answers and a resolution to any issue that may arise. There are several ways to do this.

  1. We encourage you to contact our facility Administrator or Director of Nursing at the respective location.

    However, if your concern is urgent, we ask you to contact our facility management immediately. Someone is available to speak to you 24 hours a day.

Questions About Resident Advocates

Ombudsman Program

The federal Older Americans Act requires states to have an Ombudsman Program for complaints and to advocate for residents. These ombudsmen provide helpful information about finding a care home and how to get quality care. Another service these advocates offer is to provide assistance when you have a complaint. These matters do remain confidential unless the ombudsman has your permission to voice your concerns.

Both Generations facilities have a state appointed ombudsman. Their contact information is posted in both facilities.

Questions About Alabama Regulatory Oversight of Nursing Homes

If you have a complaint about the care of a resident in a nursing home in Alabama, the Alabama Department of Public Health, Bureau of Health Provider standards has made available to you ways to file a complaint with the Alabama State Survey Agency. The Alabama State Agency is the agency that has regulatory responsibility for all nursing homes in the state.
